A swift fox samurai, showing her steel..
This drawing spawned from two concepts I wanted to draw - the wrappings of a katana handle, and tails as hair ("pony tail", except with the chosen species) A fox just happened to fit the Japanese theme.
Media used: Micron pens, acrylic paints, watercolor, marker, and colored pencil on bristol board.

Very nice, but just to be an authenticity Nazi, weren't female samurai supposed to use naginatas instead of katanas? ;)
But really, this is a gorgeous piece of work.

I believe you are correct...
But I plead artistic license ^.~

Heh. I was just kidding, you've got nothing to apologize for here. This piece is GREAT.
Besides, everyone knows what a katana is; how many people know what a naginata is (aside from well-educated and talented young ladies like yourself)?

That is beautiful. I think that represents the samurai very well.

Really like this guy. Love how his ponytail flows. Reminds me of the anime character Rurouni Kenshin.

Wow, I'm loving the detail on the handle.
