Krinele the dreamspinner dancing in her bedroom, in the 1980's...
Krinele's fur is normally silver all over, but as you can see, under blacklight, specific markings fluoresce...
Krinele and Dreamspinners are copyright Databank.
The artwork is done with micron inks, acrylic paints, and just a touch of tria markers on 9"x12" illustration board.

So fun! So cute! So 80's! :D
I love blacklight-themed drawings. And the idea of her having special UV-reactive 'invisible' markings is really fuckin' sweet. I wish so bad I could afford you, I've always loved your work. :)
And I want those socks, dernitall! xD

Thanks so much =D...
Blacklight pieces are so fun for me to paint - and pieces with unusual lighting schemes... since it adds a whole new dimension to the piece, and its also a challenge for me =).

Oh wow, this is really awesome. I thought you actually used blacklight-reactive paint at first. You do some of the best lighting effects around!

Thank you ^.^! For the really bright bits I used tria markers - because I couldn't mix anything bright enough with the acrylic colors that I have... and then I augmented them with some acrylics to get the 'inner glow' effect.
I do keep meaning to pick up some blacklight reactive paints, because I have seen what other artists like oCe have done with them and it looks so fun and cool that I'd like to try it myself - but whenever I go to the art store I am lost as to what paints exactly I'd need to get.

Wow! This is a very VERY cute pic! Love the whole darklight effect though the whole pic. I also love this girl's nice dancing pose and her cuteness all in all! Awesome work as always! :D
