I considered inking this - but I decided to do the linework/definition in acrylics - that way I could choose the line color, as well. I think that worked out well.

This has got to be one of my favorite pieces of yours! I know all of those tails must have been quite ...well, annoying to paint? BUT you placed them wonderfully, making the composition beautiful and eye-catching. :D
It was, imo, a WONDERFUL choice to omit the ink lines! The result is something that looks much more 3-D than it might have otherwise. Also, the lovely, rich reds pop out so much against that gorgeous blue drapery !
